Cinematic storytelling for artists, makers, cultural institutions and creative brands
We create film and photographic work within the art world, collaborating with artists, galleries, institutions and cultural brands to document, interpret and extend artistic practice through moving image. Our work sits between documentary, portraiture and visual essay — capturing process, ideas and creative worlds with a cinematic sensibility.
ARTISTS & MAKERS
We approach art as a living practice rather than a static subject. Our films focus on process, collaboration and context — exploring how artists work, think and create, and how their ideas sit within wider cultural and institutional frameworks.
ARTIST COLLABORATIONS & PORTRAITS
Mandarin Oriental: AI on Canvas (Sir Peter Blake)
Artist: Sir Peter Blake / Brand: Mandarin Oriental
Agency: Cedar (Creative Director - Kris Short)
To mark the 60th anniversary of Mandarin Oriental’s Hong Kong hotel, we collaborated with Sir Peter Blake on AI On Canvas, a film exploring the intersection of heritage, artistic legacy and contemporary technology.
The project brings together Blake’s iconic visual language with experimental digital processes, reflecting on how artistic practice evolves across time and medium.
Mandarin Oriental: Making of a Fan
Brand: Mandarin Oriental & Vivienne Westwood
Agency: Cedar
To mark the opening of Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, we created a film with Vivienne Westwood and Cedar, celebrating the craftsmanship, detail and quiet theatricality that define the brand’s approach to luxury hospitality.
Making of a Fan draws on the idea of the fan as both a cultural object and a gesture of elegance—reflecting the refined experience of the new hotel in London’s West End. The film explores the atmosphere of the space through texture, movement and detail, rather than traditional hotel marketing imagery.
Working alongside Art Director Kris Short of Cedar, we directed, shot, edited and graded the film, shaping every stage of production to reflect Mandarin Oriental’s signature balance of heritage and contemporary luxury.
OXO Tower: Rose Schmits
Artist/ Maker: Rose Schmits / Client: Coin Street/ Oxo Tower
Commissioned as part of a wider exhibition programme at London’s Oxo Tower, this film focuses on the practice of designer and maker Rose Schmits, developed as part of a wider exhibition programme at London’s Oxo Tower.
Moving between studio thinking and exhibition context, the work follows Schmits’ approach to making — from material exploration through to finished form — highlighting the precision, intuition and craft that underpin her practice.
Set within a broader programme of contemporary design and making, the film situates her work within the creative environment of Oxo Tower, where artists and makers operate in close dialogue with one another. Rather than functioning as traditional exhibition documentation, the film presents a cinematic portrait of Schmits’ process-led practice, foregrounding materiality, decision-making and the rhythm of making itself.
OXO Tower: Carreducker
Maker: Carreducker / Client: Coin Street/ Oxo Tower
Commissioned as part of a wider exhibition programme at London’s Oxo Tower, this film focuses on the practice of Carreducker, the bespoke shoemakers and educators based at Oxo Tower Wharf in London, known for their commitment to preserving and teaching traditional handsewn shoemaking.
The work explores their workshop environment and making process, capturing the precision, repetition and material intelligence that underpin their approach to craft. Rather than presenting shoemaking as heritage spectacle, the film observes it as a living practice — shaped by technique, time and transmission.
Alongside their bespoke work, Carreducker’s role as educators and advocates for shoemaking is reflected in the film, situating their practice within a broader culture of making and craft preservation in London.
OXO Tower: Montable
Maker: Montable / Client: Coin Street/ Oxo Tower
As part of a series of films documenting the maker community at Oxo Tower Wharf, this film presents a portrait of artisan leather worker Montable.
The work focuses on their practice within the workshop environment, capturing the processes, material knowledge and craft-led approach that define their work.
Rather than functioning as straightforward documentation, the film offers a cinematic study of making — observing rhythm, detail and the relationship between hand, material and form.
OXO Tower: By Raffaella
Artist/ Exhibition: By Raffaella / Client: Coin Street/ Oxo Tower
Commissioned as part of a wider exhibition programme at London’s Oxo Tower, this film focuses on the work of artist Raffaella, developed as part of her exhibition at London’s Oxo Tower.
Centred on her practice, the project explores Raffaella’s approach to making and presentation — how material, form and process come together within the context of an exhibition environment.
Rather than documenting the wider maker community, the film is structured around Raffaella’s artistic voice, using the Oxo Tower exhibition as a spatial and cultural frame through which her work is experienced.
The piece reflects on the relationship between artist, work and audience, capturing how Raffaella’s practice sits within a contemporary institutional setting in London.
Bentley: The Extraordinary World of Art
Brand: Bentley / Agency: Harpers Bazaar
Working with Bentley and the commercial team at Harper’s Bazaar, we created a two-year commissioned series of short documentary films exploring the contemporary art world through a curated editorial lens. Each film focuses on artists, makers and cultural figures, presenting intimate portraits of creative practice across different disciplines and environments.
While the presence of the Bentley is integrated subtly throughout the series, the films prioritise story, process and context — weaving the brand into cultural narratives rather than placing it at the centre of the frame. Each episode was filmed in a single day using a two-camera documentary setup with sound, maintaining a naturalistic and observational approach across the series.
PM/AM: Mat Chivers
Artist/ Exhibition: Mat Chivers/ Harmonic Distortion
Agency: PM/AM
Working with Paddy Barstow and the team at PM/AM, we created a film to accompany the London exhibition Harmonic Distortion by artist Mat Chivers. The work translates Chivers’ practice into moving image, responding to the exhibition’s exploration of sound, structure and perceptual disruption.
Rather than functioning as straightforward promotional material for the show, the film operates as a visual extension of the exhibition’s conceptual framework, reflecting on how rhythm, repetition and distortion shape the viewer’s experience.
PM/AM: Michaela Zimmer
Artist/ Exhibition: Michaela Zimmer/ Labo(rat)ori
Agency: PM/AM
Working with Paddy Barstow and the team at PM/AM, we created a film to accompany Michaela Zimmer’s London exhibition Labo(rat)ori.
The work responds to Zimmer’s practice and the conceptual framework of the exhibition, which explores ideas of experimentation, observation and constructed environments. Rather than serving as promotional material for the show, the film operates as a visual extension of Labo(rat)ori, reflecting on processes of testing, repetition and controlled systems as both subject and structure.
Eastpak: Richie Culver
Brand: Eastpak / Artist: Richie Culver
Working with Eastpak, we created a cinematic portrait of artist Richie Culver as part of the brand’s charity initiative supporting AIDS awareness.
The film explores Culver’s practice and perspective, situating his work within a broader cultural and social context connected to the campaign’s purpose. Rather than functioning as traditional campaign content, the piece focuses on character, voice and creative identity, presenting a direct and intimate portrait of the artist.
PM/AM: Alexander James
Artist/ Exhibition: Alexander James: Intersection / Agency: PM/AM
Working with Paddy Barstow and the team at PM/AM, we created a two-part film series to launch Alexander James’ London exhibition Intersection. The films explore James’ photographic practice and the conceptual framework behind the exhibition, translating his visual language into moving image for its public presentation in London. Rather than documenting the exhibition in a conventional sense, the work responds to Intersection as a curatorial idea — reflecting on themes of perception, framing and spatial experience that sit at the core of the show.
